These terms apply when you use the Ruby Vice League website, Discord server and bot (“the League”). By logging in or queueing you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the League.
The League is a free, community-run ranked ladder for GTA. We are an independent fan project, not affiliated with Rockstar Games, Take-Two, Sony, Microsoft or Discord. Nothing here gives you a claim to prizes, money or rewards unless a specific event says so in writing.
You need a Discord account in good standing and must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and the rules of the game and platform you play on. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
When you play ranked you agree not to:
Match results are decided by player votes with proof. When votes disagree, staff decide, and staff decisions are final within the League. RP, ranks, levels and badges are game features of the League; they are not property, have no cash value and may be adjusted, reset or removed to correct mistakes, punish cheating or start a new season.
Tournaments have their own page with format, schedule and prize pool. By entering you accept that tournament's rules, and staff decisions on tournament results are final within the League. Prizes, if any, are as announced on the tournament page and are awarded by the League operators after the result is confirmed.
If you break these terms or the League rules, staff may issue a warning, remove RP or results, restrict you from the queue for a period of time, or remove you from the League. You can ask for a decision to be reviewed by opening a ticket in Discord.
Player, team and clan names and tags must not be offensive, misleading, impersonate someone, or infringe rights of others. The first clan to claim a name keeps it until the clan is deleted; staff may rename or delete a clan that breaks these terms, which frees its name and tag.
You keep the rights to what you post (chat messages, clips, screenshots). You give us the permission to store and show it inside the League for as long as needed to run it, for example on your match history, a clan page or a weekly recap. You promise that you are allowed to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
The League is a hobby project that we run in our free time. It may be unavailable at times, change or be discontinued, and we cannot promise it is free of errors. We back up the database regularly, but we cannot guarantee that no data will ever be lost.
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law requires it. For slight negligence we are only liable for breach of an essential contractual obligation (one that the League could not work without), and only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Beyond that, liability is excluded. This does not affect your statutory rights.
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We can end or suspend your access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The current version is always on this page; important changes are announced on Discord. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new version.
German law applies, except that mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live stay in force. If a part of these terms is invalid, the rest remains valid.
